In the event that the Laboratory invokes its Business Continuity Plan e.g. as a result of a cyber-attack, laboratory testing may be substantially reduced and clinical areas would need to have contingency arrangements in place to operate with the substantially reduced laboratory capacity. In the down time and recovery period, the Laboratory will focus on the critical areas which have been identified for which a laboratory service disruption would have the greatest impact in the shortest time and which need to be recovered most rapidly. Please note contingency reports may not contain reference ranges and clinicians should refer to the SHSCT Laboratory Handbook which is accessible via the Intranet or Internet (e.g. by using Mobile phone) |
